Spectrum Partners expands investment team
Spectrum Partners is pleased to announce the hire of two new Managing Partners, Andrei Lifshits and Maxim Kuzin, as of October 1, 2011.

Andrey Lifshits will be responsible for the Emerging Markets Fixed Income strategy with it principal main focus on Russia and the FSU. Maxim Kuzin will be responsible for the Special Situations Russia and CIS equity strategy.

Andrey Lifshits said: "I see a lack of CIS-focused fixed income products on the market. I'm sure that together with Spectrum Partners, we'll be able to create a high quality product in this segment that will attract attention from both Russian and foreign investors".
Maxim Kuzin emphasized that "working in a team of true professionals with solid reputations on Russian stock market is great luck and a pleasure for me. Given the great team and its ability to find effective solutions to complex problems, I'm confident that we'll succeed in the most challenging undertakings".

Andrei started his career in 2002 at Gazprombank where he was in charge of bond trading. In 2004, he left Gazprombank to join Bank Trust as head of the fixed income desk. From 2007- to 2008 he was head of fixed income sales and trading at Gazprombank, and from 2008 to 2011 he was head of the fixed income desk at Uralsib Asset Management. In 2011, Andrei was responsible for portfolio management and strategy at Troika Dialog Private Bank. Lifshits is a graduate of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Physics and Power department.

Maxim started his career in 1995 as a researcher on advanced stochastic modelsfor derivatives pricing at the Centre of Statistical Research, Moscow. From 1996 he worked for Inkom Capital in Moscow as a portfolio manager. In 1999, he joined Finam Investment Company in Moscow, first as Head of Global operations then as Chief Executive Officer. He was in charge of developing the group's global business activities (investment and private banking, financial consulting, collective investment plans) and drove expansion into CIS countries. From 2005 to 2011, Maxim was a Partner at MARS Capital Group. In 2011, he joined Spectrum Partners. Maxim holds a Master's Degree in applied mathematics with honors from the Lomonosov Moscow State University and a Certificate in Business Management from the State University Higher School of Economics in Moscow.
